- Standard MIDI File Format (SMF)
- The "SMF" is a MIDI sequence data format which is described as RP-001
- (Recommended Practice) of the MIDI specification. There are two popular
- format, SMF Format 0 and Format 1. They may be able to read and write
- by almost all MIDI software. MIDIGraphy can read and write both format
- 0 and format 1.

- XF Format
- The "XF" is an MIDI sequence data file format which is advanced by
- YAMAHA to make SMF to fit in new multimedia usage. There are some
- expanded specification of information headers and detailed rules about
- lyrics data.
- MIDIGraphy supports displaying XF styled Lyrics data. But it doesn't
- support any inputting or editing function for XF, so if you want to
- make XF sequence data, you have to know about XF specification. The "XF
- Specification" is available on "YAMAHA Homepage" (at
- http://www.yamaha.co.jp/).

- MIDI Karaoke File Format (KAR)
- The "KAR" is also a MIDI sequence data file format which is designed by
- Tune 1000 Corp. to make SMF to be able to show lyrics data. There are
- some expanded specification of Information headers and rules about
- lyrics data.
- MIDIGraphy supports displaying KAR styled Lyrics data. But it doesn't
- support any inputting or editing function for KAR, so if you want to
- make KAR sequence data, you have to know about KAR specification.

- Various KAR files are also available on this site.

- RCP Format
- The "RCP" is a MIDI sequence file format for the MIDI sequencer
- application "RECOMPOSER" which provided for NEC PC-98 series.
- The RCP is a popular MIDI file format in Japan.
- MIDIGraphy supports reading RCP by the RCP Import plug-in. Writing to
- RCP is not supported.

- SNG Format
- The "SNG" is a MIDI sequence file format for the MIDI sequencer
- application "MUSI-ROU" and "Ballade" provided for NEC PC-98xx series.
- The SNG is also a popular MIDI file format in Japan.
- MIDIGraphy supports reading SNG by the SNG Import plug-in. Writing to
- SNG is not supported.

- SLG Format
- The "SLG" is a dumped text file format for the Standard MIDI File
- Compiler, SC.EXE for DOS which is freeware created by Mr. Hajime Koike.

- MIDIGraphy supports reading SLG by the SLG Import plug-in. Writing to
- SLG is also supported by SLG Export plug-in.

- LHA Format
- The "LHA" is an archive format for LHA.EXE, multi-platform archive
- software which is freeware created by Mr. Eisaku Yoshizaki.
- The LHA is most popular archive format in Japan.
- MIDIGraphy can read a file in an LHA archive without your extracting
- process.

- Apple MIDI Manager
- "Apple MIDI Manager" is a MIDI management tool which was developed by
- Apple Computer, Inc. It is bundled with some MIDI Manager compatible
- software, and it is available on Apple's ftp sites. But, it seems to be
- already unsupported software.
- MIDIGraphy supports MIDI input/output via Apple MIDI Manager.

- Open Music System (OMS)
- "OMS" is a MIDI management system which is provided by Opcode Systems,
- Inc. It can be downloaded from the Opcode's Homepage.
- MIDIGraphy supports MIDI input/output via OMS 2.0 or later.

- QuickTime
- "QuickTime" is a system extension which is provided by Apple Computer,
- Inc. It is bundled with system software and some multimedia titles. It
- is also available on Apple's QuickTime Homepage.
- MIDIGraphy supports driving Macintosh built-in sound device or MIDI
- output via QuickTime 2.0 or later (I recommend 2.5 or later).
